School Location

Bishop Pinkham is located in the community of Lakeview, close to North Glenmore Park, Glenmore Trail and Crowchild Trail. The school's English population is drawn from the following communities: Lakeview, North Glenmore Park and Discovery Ridge. Students in the Late and Continuing Immersion program are drawn from: Altadore, Aspen Woods, Bankview, Bayview, Currie, Lincoln Park, Christie Park, Coach Hill, Cougar Ridge, Eagle Ridge, Glamorgan, Glenbrook, Glendale, Killarney/Glengarry, Lakeview, Lincoln Park Redevelopment, North Glenmore Park, Oakridge, Palliser, Patterson, Pump Hill, Richmond, Rosscarrock, Rutland Park, Scarboro/Sunalta West, Shaganappi, Signal Hill, South Calgary, Springbank Hill, Spruce Cliff, Strathcona Park, Sunalta, West Springs and Westgate. Students completing Grade 9 at BP continue their educational journey in various schools and programs. The majority of students attend their designated High School, including Central Memorial, Ernest Manning, Henry Wisewood, Dr. E. P. Scarlett and Western Canada High.

About the School

Bishop Pinkham was built in 1964. The school has many excellent facilities for student learning. The library is well equipped with print resources and computers to support student learning. In addition there are 20 laptops which can be utilized in any classroom through our wireless network. Students also have computer access in all classrooms. As well as 20 teaching classrooms and a gymnasium there are dedicated learning spaces for Band, Art, Drama, Foods and Fashion, Industrial Arts, and Outdoor Education courses. The School Council has just completed extensive work on creating new Outdoor Learning Spaces for our students to enjoy.
