About the School

Centennial High School is the first high school to be built by the Calgary Board of Education in more than a decade. The school opened to 550 Grade 10 students and 34 staff for the 2004-2005 school year. Our population, has grown to 1700 students and 90 teachers with the addition of Grade 12 in the 2006-2007 school year.

The teachers in this new state of the art high school assist students in developing a personalized learner pathway and a master portfolio. The Personalized Learner Plan is flexible and based on each student's needs and goals. The master portfolio reflects the student's career pathway and high school learning experiences. If desired, all students have the opportunity to explore numerous career options and experience a career pathway(s) in one of four Academies
