Coffin School is also a school of choice and accepts students from out of boundary if space permits. Junior High feeder schools are Branton, Senator Patrick Burns and Simon Fraser. About the School

The school, which was originally built in 1967, was destroyed by fire in 1974. It was rebuilt and re-opened on June 11, 1975. The school logo is a stylized version of a five-foot original sculpture that survived the fire.

Situated on 4.51 acres, the new, smaller version has 7 classrooms, 1 portable, a library, and a gym. There is a beautiful view of the mountains to the west.

Dr. E. W. Coffin School - Awesome small school makes a difference to my child's education experience!

Overall:
5

This is an awesome school! With less than 200 students, it provides a safe, caring environment for my boys. My oldest, now in grade 2, knows most of the kids. The teachers are awesome! They all go that extra mile to make sure my children are getting the most out of their school experience. The before and after school care is fabulous. You can use this child care service daily, for those of you who work, or occasionally.

A hidden gem of a school.

Wonderful small school atmosphere. A great balance between academics and arts. Parents always feel welcome. Have 3 kids enrolled and couldn't be happier.

Small school misses the mark for excellence

Overall:

Teachers are caring and competent. Before and after school childcare program is excellent. Extremely poor communication from school to home. Split-grade classes very problematic as configurations change yearly. There are no specialists (e.g. P.E.) with the exception of music. The overall feeling in the school is NOT joyful or welcoming.
