1331 Falconirdge Drive N. E. Calgary, Alberta T3J 1T4 Falconridge School is located in the northeast community of Falconridge, serving the community of Falconridge. Most of our student live in the community and move on from Falconridge School to Terry Fox School for Grades 7 to 9.
About the School
The school was built in 1980 and is situated on 7.6 acres. The school has 12 classrooms, 12 relocatables, a two-station gym, music room, library and computer lab. Falconridge School services a large densely-populated community which is both multilinguistic and within a range of socio-economic levels. The school has a supportive staff that has demonstrated a long-term commitment to their students and the school community. Falconridge School fosters a love for lifelong learning by providing an environment which promotes confidence in each students' abilities and encourages children to become risk takers. We believe it is necessary for students to work cooperatively, recognizing individual, cultural, and learning differences. We wish to advance global awareness by developing a sense of citizenship within the home, the school, the community, and the world. We provide a supportive and flexible learning environment that accommodates a variety of learning styles and the diversity of students. We believe in having parents as active partners in their child's education. Parents are encouraged to be involved in school decision making and goal setting through active participation in the school council and school committees.
