Haultain Memorial School is located in the southeast community of Queensland, serving the communities of Queensland, Deer Ridge, Diamond Cove and McKenzie Towne.
Community students from Haultain Memorial School move on to Wilma Hansen School for Grades 7 to 9 and then on to Lord Beaverbrook School. Students residing in McKenzie Towne move on to David Thompson School for grades 5 though 9 and then on to Lord Beaverbrook.
About the School
The school was built in 1980 and is situated on 6.0 acres. It is an 8 x 8 core design built of structural steel, concrete, and brick. There are 11 designated classrooms in the building. The building contains a full-size gymnasium, a library, a kindergarten room, an ancillary area, and the administrative section. A new playground,with a rubberized surface area, was constructed in October 2000. Playground games and two basketball courts were painted on the tarmac in October 2002.
