School Location

Marlborough School is located in the northeast community of Marlborough, serving the communities of Marlborough and Saddleridge in the area between 60th street and 68 St. N.E. The section of east of of 68th street N.E. students attend Mayland Heights School. A new school is currently being built in Saddleridge that when completed in 2010 will provide education programs students K to grade 3. Marlborough School is on a traditional track school year, that is students start in September. School hours for students are from 8:15 a.m. to 2:35 p.m. The school is on a traditional track school year. Lunch period is from 11:45 to 12:30. Students living in Saddle Ridge have access to charter bus service to and from school. Transportation fees include bussing and lunchtime supervision. User pay lunchtime supervision is also available for students living in the Marlborough Community. Designated Junior High Schools & Senior High Schools: Marlborough students - Bob Edwards - Forest Lawn HS, Saddleridge students - Bob Edwards - Crescent Heights HS.

About the School

Marlborough School was built in 1968. It was an open area facility. In 1999 the school received a major renovation. Asbestos was removed, walls for classrooms were installed, modern school lighting replaced old lights, new flooring and carpets were installed and white boards replaced black boards. All classrooms have computers and are cabled for internet access. All student work is saved to a master server. The school now has wireless capability for technology. The school has 15 - classrooms, 1 – Library, 1 - computer Lab, 2 classrooms in portables1 – gymnasium and a brand new playground structure valued at $275.000.00. The school had a major roof replacement in 2006/07 and the school was temporarily closed for one year. The school was reopened in March 2007. The school was entirely painted in the summer of 2007.
