
School Location
William Reid School is a French Immersion school located in the southwest community of Elbow Park. The school boundaries encompass a small geographical area as the school building only has 7 classrooms. Please contact the school office for a copy of the boundary map (777-6940). Only students who reside within the boundary area are guaranteed acceptance at William Reid School. Students who live outside the boundary area are accepted if space permits. Students continuing in French Immersion move to Bishop Pinkham or Elboya for Grades 7 to 9 and then to Dr. E.P. Scarlett or Western Canada for High School.
About the School
William Reid School was built in 1954 and is situatied on 3.193 acres. It was originally an English school, but became a French Immersion school in 1979. The school has 10 classrooms including 2 portable classrooms. A gymnasium was added to the school in 2003. A variety of technologies have been integrated throughout the school, including SmartBoards in most classrooms. William Reid School has an extensive outdoor classroom/naturalization area to further learning and provide a natural play area for our students.
